The Noble Fir is deep blue/green in color and has unusually lovely branch shape. The foliage has a lovely scent and boughs of this tree are often made into fresh wreaths. Its branches are sturdy yet the needles are not too sharp to decorate easily. Noble Fir have good spacing between branches so it's easy to hang ornaments on them. They originate from the Rocky mountains of Western USA/Canada where they are nick named the "King of Christmas Trees" due to the lovely fragrance, shape and excellent needle retention. They are my favorite Christmas Tree and the only reason I don't plant more is they are very difficult to grow hence most growers don't bother!
