Pick-ups For Peace
Bishops Offley Christmas Trees donated their red pick-up truck in support of those impacted by the conflict in Ukraine via the British charity - ‘Pick-ups for Peace’.
On the 24th April 2024 Russell and Liz drove their red pickup to Ukraine, fully loaded with trauma kits and supplies to help the locals.
Supporting Ukraine
Starting with a trip via Roadspeed Developments for a first-class complimentary service by brothers Barry and Chris, the pickup was packed up with aid and Russell and Liz embarked on the 1,300+ mile adventure!
Driving through Holland, Germany and Poland they soon arrived in Ukraine and joined a convoy of 35 other pickups who were all heading for Lviv as part of ‘Pick-ups for Peace’.
Russell said: “It has been a trip of a lifetime. Probably one of the best experiences of our lives and has been very emotional - especially at the military cemetery in Lviv where there were lots of tears… We met some fantastic people and are already thinking about going out again!”.
